Breaking News! Piku Director Signs Ranbir For His Next
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Will Shoojit weave magic like he did with RK's ex-flame Deepika?
All you Ranbir Kapoor detractors, the actor may be down but he's certainly not out.
After three back-to-back debacles, you probably need a Rohit Shetty to bail you out from your career crisis. But Ranbir is doing it differently.
The superstar, who is still reeling from the debacle of Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet, has finally consented to a new project.
Who has he given a nod to? Shoojit Sircar.
SpotboyE.com has exclusively learnt that the actor has had several meetings with the Piku director.
A source told us, "The duo has decided to work on a film together which will be RK's next film after Jagga Jasoos wraps up. It is possible that he will juggle the project before Ayan Mukerji's superhero drama goes into production and after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is complete. Shoojit is actively working on the script. An announcement is expected soon."
Come August, Ranbir will fly off to Paris, London and New York for Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Adds the source, "He has loved the basic idea of Shoojit's film and consented in principle. Juhi Chaturvedi, who wrote both Vicky Donor and Piku, is likely to collaborate on the screenplay."
However, when contacted, Shoojit simply said, "I am on a holiday, still enjoying the success of Piku. I haven't been in town for the longest time!"
Errr...wasn't it you who launched Piku's DVD at a Juhu bookstore, a few days ago?
